The ripples of water as it eddies, swirls and moves around objects fascinate me, as do the marks on pebbles, lichen and the stonemasons’ chisel marks on Yorkshire barns.
These are represented by wavy patterns on handles, imprints on lids, sgraffito and these with the universal three dot ‘Cintamani’ motif are on-going inspirations, and are combined with soft, quiet glazes to allow the presentation of food to ‘sing’.
